Murmur at Fondation des États-Unis, Paris, FR
June 5 - July 3, 2024

Drawing from personal histories and literary sources such as Monique Wittig and Jean Genet, Muza applies a fluid form of storytelling by painting words in dye across a hand-woven canvas, or undoing patterns in the haze of an abstracted motif. Here, encoded language is at times subsumed by materiality, and images move in and out of legibility. These shifts stem from a politic of relation, one that expands into an entanglement of text, bodies, and textile objects.
